Sportsponsoring: Globaler Markt steigt bis 2015 auf 45,3 Mrd. US-Dollar

Compete to be the Best in Europe - ESA´s Sponsorship Awards Open for Entries
22. July 2011
Entries for the 2011 ESA European Sponsorship Awards have opened, offering sponsorship professionals across Europe an ideal platform to showcase outstanding national or multi-national campaigns. The Awards, organised by the European Sponsorship Association (ESA), are the only pan-European sponsorship awards celebrating excellence across all sectors - sport, culture, entertainment, media, community and corporate responsibility.
Sponsors, rights holders and agencies are all invited to enter their most successful campaigns, in a bid to be judged the best in Europe. For 2011, ESA has added two new categories – one targeted at rights holders and governing bodies and the second focusing on media sponsorship.
The Sponsorship Industry Goes Europe
Karen Earl - Designated Founding Chairman
The proposal that the European Sponsorship Association should be a truly European association, representing the existing European National Sponsorship Associations and the sponsorship industry in countries across Europe, has gained considerable momentum in the last 12 months.
The new association, currently codenamed ESAV (to distinguish it from the existing ESA in the UK, which is now referred to in this note as ESA UK to
assist recognition) is being formed by representatives from:
ESA (UK)
Sporsora (France)
FASPO (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)
Sponsrings & Eventforeningen (Sweden)
Sponsevent (Norway)
Danish Sponsorship Association
The statutes of the new association, to be called The European Sponsorship
Association (ESA) are currently being drawn up according to Belgium law and
will be consolidated in Brussels. A registered office has been identified
in Brussels as well as a 'nominal' CEO in William Fenton, who is based in
Brussels and will handle administrative issues on a voluntary basis until a
more formal job description is drawn up.
